Present: Barry Bills, Shirley Christianson, Heidi den Haan, Gordon Goldsborough (sec), Bob Jones, Cynthia Jordan, Glen Suggett

1. Minutes of the last meeting (5 March 2007) were approved with the following changes: 2a) Linden/Brown transcription has not yet started; “lost” interview tapes were found in our archives maintained by Bills.

2. Business

a) Campbell memoirs – Goldsborough will call Alex Wright directly.

b) Breakwater memories – Suggett and Goldsborough still to do.

c) Long-time fishers award – The ceremony took place on 11 April, at which Bill Hutchinson, George Tomalin, and Alf Lavallee received awards, along with Maurice Blanchard.

d) Bison bones – Goldsborough showed some old bones provided to him by Peter Ward, who found them in the bottom of a hole being excavated between the two beach ridges behind his home at Delta, at a depth indicating they had been deposited there long ago.

e) Manuscripts – Some marked manuscripts were returned to Suggett by committee members; the rest should do so as soon as possible.

3. Next meeting: The next meeting will be held at the home of Shirley Christianson (118 Wilkinson Crescent, Portage la Prairie) at 9:00 am on Tuesday, 29 May 2007.
