District Farmers On Fields
Conditions Ideal
Portage district farmers are making the best of good weather during the past couple of days to get crops in. This is a scene north and east of the city, taken Wednesday morning, and it was typical of activity that is beginning to get underway throughout the farm area.
W. L. Watson who farms north east of Portage, was one farmer out on the land this morning. Here he fills his seeder attachment with fertilizer to be added with seed. The field was being seeded to wheat today and soil conditions were found to be ideal.
