Annual High School Bonspiel

The Oakville rink is seen here picking up their identification buttons at the opening of the high school bonspiel in Portage this morning. Left to right are Sherrill Nicholls, Janice Gustafson and skip Bob Nicholls, PCI curling president Gary Garrioch, Arthur Meighen counterpart Rick Batters and Phil Ingram who rounded out the Oakville foursome.

The only undefeated rink in the Portage High School bonspiel this weekend was the Rick Batters' rink. From the left they are, skip Batters, lead Tammy Rabkin, representing the donor, Fairbairn's Men's Wear Brian Bruce, Marlene McDonald, second, and third Larry Davidson.

The Narvey event winner, second event of the high school bonspiel, Harvey Fleming's rink. From left to right, Fleming, George Kitson, third, Harold Narvey, who presented the trophies, Loretta Humeniuk, second and lead Don Jackson. Fleming skipped his rink to a 12-6 win over Brian Muirhead in the final Saturday evening.
