Portage General Nurses' Alumnae Association
The first annual banquet of the Portage General Nurses' Alumnae Association was held Wednesday night. Above is shown the head table and some of the guests. Inset shows three old-time graduates. Left to right, they are Mrs. M. Crowther, class of 1914, of Victoria, B.C.; Mrs. Jean Thomas, honorary president; and Mrs. Sarah Belsham, class of 1915, Winnipeg. Mrs. Crowther came the longest distance for the reunion and Belsham was presented with a life-membership at the gathering. Mrs. Susan E. Westwood, and Mrs. Janet Davies, both of Rapid City, were also from the 1914 class. They attended the hospital opening ceremonies but did not remain for the banquet.
