West End Wins City Midget Hockey Title
West End Midgets recently won the Portage Midget championship with a close best-of-three series win over South Side. The series went the full three games with all games decided by a one goal margin. Front row, left to right, Danny Painter, David Kuzyk, Bill Munn, Clarence Nichols, Randy Kostenuk and Lyle Gilchrist. Back row, coach Gerry Lamotte, Brian Cobbe, Glen Whincup, Calvin Brown, Rick Stevenson, Kevin Gillespie, Scott Campbell, Murray Hewitt, Gilbert Andrews and Pat Smith.
