Frozen feet
Ken Weldrick, the ‘Happy Jogger’ is paying an unscheduled visit in Portage la Prairie. En route from Vancouver to the East via ‘shankmare’ he was forced to stop over in Portage la Prairie when he froze his feet severely during that big blizzard last weekend. He was advised to stay in Brandon, but bent on reaching the east and raising pledges for the mentally retarded, he was and is determined to ‘keep going.’ He is seen here with B. G. (Buzz) Bratton, manager of ARC Industries in Portage la Prairie, who later showed him around the ARC workshop.
