CN grain cars derailed outside city yard

Cars derailed

Four of the new tanker-type grain carrying cars on a Canadian National Railway freight train derailed to the east of Portage Wednesday morning. Three of the four are shown in this photo that also shows gouged-up road bed. Wrecking crews quickly cleared the site and traffic was moving again later in the day. Cause of the derailment was not given.
