Fort la Reine Home and School recognition for Watson
Portage’s “Mr Music”, Gordon Watson was honored by the Fort la Reine Home and School Association Tuesday night during its regular meeting. Mr. Watson, who composed the music for Centennial songs for Manitoba and Portage la Prairie, received a hard cover clippings and scrap book from association vice-president G. Zwiep. The book is already started with news clippings to date and has ample space for Mr. Watson to insert further mementos of the Centennial year.
