Mayor city host to Winnipeg area kindergarten children and teachers
Visitors in Portage Friday for a few hours was this kindergarten group from East Kildonan. The 49 children, along with nine leaders, travelled to Portage via rail and visited Island Park. On hand to greet them was a cavalcade of volunteer cars that transported the children to the park and back again. The trip was part of a study program for the students.
