Getting ice ready
South Side Athletic Club is a popular place for winter sports and newly hired caretaker, Henry Bergen was smoothing out the rough edges Wednesday morning and predicted ice would be ready for skating before the end of the week. It is Henry’s first season as ice maker and caretaker but he seemed to have the ice making problem solved. Mr. Bergen is from High Bluff and formerly worked at Case Power and Equipment.
