Winter Fun Festival preparations near complete

Parking meters — Not for a dog team in The Pas, but they did prove a bit interesting this morning to Gilbert Lavallee, left, twice world’s champion dog musher. He’s here with Jack Harris, and Gilbert isn’t the least taken with the machines. He and his six-dog team of male huskies will be around Portage for the next couple of days taking in the local Fun Festival.
