Helping Hand organization - First “meals-on-wheels” delivered from Manor
Piping hot meals
First piping hot meals-on-wheels for senior citizens in Portage were prepared Monday in facilities of Lions Prairie Manor. Prepared strictly to directions, there are regular plates as well as specials for diabetics and others on medicinal restrictions. In charge of the preparation is Nick Kolansky, centre, of the Manor staff. His assistants are Mrs. Kolansky, left, and Mrs. Evelyn St. Goddard, missing from photo. Also in the photo is Kerry Mason, “Helping Hand” helper.
