Successful wake-a-thon

No, these boys aren’t playing scrabble to cure a bad case of insomnia. Quite, the contrary, they are playing it to keep awake. When this picture was taken, the group had passed the 24-hour mark in the Arthur Meighen wake-a-thon and were still going strong. Gerry Denslow, pen in mouth, contemplates the board while Gary Bullock makes his move. The third player, Bob Wood, just stares at his board. Or is he sleeping?
