Despite the attempts of her mother, Mrs. Robert Strand, and student nurse Arlene Frykas, Terri Marlayne just couldn’t be bothered with waking up to have her picture taken as the first baby of 1963 in Portage. She checked in at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday and weighed seven pounds.
