Canadian Cancer Society Portage Unit - E. A. Marchand Exec-Dir.
The Cancer Society receives a cheque for $375 from the Lady Foresters to help kick off the annual campaign which begins in Portage Monday night with a blitz visit to all city homes by 145 canvassers. Henry Falk, president of the local unit, accepts the cheque from Mrs. Verla Bird, representing the Foresters. The money is proceeds from candy sales conducted by the ladies.
