Southport hosts RCAF Zone 2 curling playoff
B. E. Christmas, commanding officer of RCAF Station Portage la Prairie prepares to throw the opening rock of the RCAF Zone Two curling playdowns which started at the Southport rink Thursday. Ready to sweep at right is SL T. Ianson. Grouped behind the commanding officer are the curlers of the rinks which meet on the first draw. Play continues through today and Saturday with the top two rinks advancing to the Canadian championships to be held at Winnipeg in March.
