United Way receives generous supports for children's aid and safeway staff. United Way. Pledges and cash totalling $1,015 from employees of the Children's Aid Society of Central Manitboa, a participating agency in the Portage Plains United Way, were turned over recently to campaign chairman Dr. C. M. Thomas (at left) by canvasser Henry Neufeld. At right is Mayer Rabkin, a director of the board at the Children's Aid Society. Portage safeway manager Ted Lawrence turns over $557, cash and pledges, in Safeway employee contributions to Portage Plains United Way.
