Portage Fire Department
The men who battle flames for a living are pictured above standing beside a [text missing] in Portage la Prairie's Fire Department Hall. These men will inspect businesses and homes during the next week in an all-out effort to make this year's Fire Prevention Week the best ever in Portage. From left to right, they are: Ferg Grassie, Orville Knudson, Roy Watson, Assistant Chief A. F. Fish, Chick Wilson and Earl Mathews.
