Tashiro, Feb 18/65, sports, Brandon Junior Wheat Kings Trounce All-Stars 8-1 Proceeds to juvenile Terriers, There was plenty of action around the Portage All-star net Friday night as Brandon Wheat Kings romped to an 8-1 win in an exhibition game. Portage goaltender Dick Todd had just stopped an effort by an unidentified Wheatie, who in turn had the door closed on him by All-star defenceman Herman Weber. At right is Cam Allison and another Wheat King looks for a rebound while Bill Leslie (with helmet) and Doug Smith (background) come in to lend All-stars a hand. Dick Todd, playing goal for Portage All-stars, stopped this effort by Brandon Wheat Kings in the exhibition game won 8-1 by Brandon Friday. To the left of Todd are teammates Gary Mason and Cal Botterill and sprawled in front is Bruce Buschau. The shot came from Juha Weding (right) Brandon’s swift swede, while Rick Hextall eyes things up for a possible rebound.
