"This photograph was taken at the Oakland Club on October 21st 1928. The occasion being the the dual celebration of Mr. Simpson's birthday and the raising of the new flag pole. Present Hon. Colin Inkster who came out from Winnipeg for the occasion and was the life of the party age 85 summers. Mr. E. L. Drewry President. Mr. F. G. Simpson. John A. Machray L.D.D. C. E. Drewry. J. H. Elliott. John G. Reid and J. C. Waugh. Colin Inkster Jr was also present. A dinner was enjoyed on Saturday night and on Sunday the flag was duly raised. All present singing God Save the King and the Doxology. The Three Graces of the Oakland Club"
