James Anderson Dies in House Fire
This was the scene on Tenth street north west Tuesday where Portage firemen battled fire in three houses at the same time. Heavy smoke issues from the small home at the right in which one man lost his life. There was extensive wall and roof damage to the house on the left which caught fire from the intense heat billowing from the home next door.
