Don Brownridge's Senior Rink

Don Brownridge's Rink, winner of the Manitoba senior curling crown, discovered Saturday that there were quite a few fringe benefits connected with winning the championship. The boys received slacks, blazers, sweaters and flight bags from well wishes which included the Portage Curling Club, the Seniors Club, the Rural Municipality of Portage, the city of Portage and the Manitoba Curling Association. The rink, which received the loot Saturday at the bonspiel banquet in the ANAF hall, leave next wekend for the national playoff at Prince Albert, Sask. Incidentally, the Seagram Stone, emblem of Canadian supremacy among senior curlers, would fit in nicely here. From the left, team members are Brownridge, Ken Blair, Bill Kitson and Jim Wishart.
