Another $1,000 Cheque Turned Over To Hostel As Part of $10,000 Additional Pledge

Portage Lions Club turned over another $1,000 to Lions Prairie Manor Thursday during the club's regular meeting in the Portage Hotel. The club had pledged $10,000 over the original $25,000. The last installment brings to $5,000 the club has donated towards the additional pledge. Fund-raising chairman George Gretsinger, left, made the presentation to Manor president Jack Wilson. Looking on at right is Lion president Garry Little.
