Terrier Junior Hockey Defence Man Gordon Halwas Voted M.V.P.
Gord Halwas, Terriers' hard-hitting defenceman, is presented with the Most Popular and Most Valuable Player award by Stan Zurke (left), vice-president of CUPE (Canadian Union of Public Employees). Mr. Zurke presented the trophy prior to the beginning of the second period. The Terriers responded with three second-period goals for their victory. Votes by Terrier fans gave Halwas the majority.
