CENTRAL MANITOBA FASTBALL LEAGUE PORTAGE ROYALS – 1971 LEAGUE WINNERS Portage Royals – CMFL league champions for 1971 compiled a brilliant 18-2 record in league play to win the Clayton Edmondson trophy. Clayton Edmondson, donor of the trophy is on the left as he presented the trophy to the team. Back row, left to right standing, Doug Fraser, Dave Addison, Hugh Moran, Ken Kasijan, Ed Larkin, Paul Miller, Mike Price, Denis McQuiston, Jim Lehman and Dave Wendt. Kneeling from the left, Jerry Samels, manager Bill Henry, Allen Ramsey and Brain Hyde, The Royals will represent the CMFL in the provincial fastball playoffs on September 4 and 5 in Lac du Bonnet.
