Annual Ladies 'Spiel Opening

Action in the Ladies Curling Club annual bonspiel got underway here Thursday night with a little assistance from the men. Mrs. Estelle Caister, the club's past president, throws the first rock in the 'spiel that is part of the Winter Fun Festival. Ambitious sweepers are, left, recreation director Al Miller and Portage Curling Club president Bill McCowan.
