Tashiro May 15/72 Men’s Curling MEN’S CURLING WIND-UP GROUP WINNERS
WAYNE TROOP’S RINK won the Portage Curling Club’s A and B group and the Stewart-Greenslade trophy. Team members in addition to Troop, second from the left are third Burke Wilson on the left Vaughn Greenslade and Hub Maxwell. Barry Greenslade, centre, representing the donors, made the presentation Monday night at the curling club’s windup banquet in the ANAF hall.
JIM COLLETT’S RINK won the Portage Curling Club championship and the Shell Cup. From the left Dr. Bill Smith, Collett, Jack Wishart, representing the Shell dealers, Don Clark and Gerry Large. The presentation took place at the Portage Curling Club’s annual meeting Monday at the ANAF hall.
JIM COLLETTE’S RINK won the one night-a-week league at the Portage Curling Club this year and were presented with the Portage International trophy by Bruce Grant centre. Members of the winning rink include from the left, Dr. Bill Smith, Collett, Don Clark and Gerry Large. The Collett rink also won two events in the Portage bonspiel this year in addition to the club championship and the one-night league.
KEN DARBYSHIRE’S RINK won the Portage Curling Club’s C and D groups championship and the Beaver Lumber trophy. Henry Riendeau on the left of the Portage Curling Club made the presentation. Team members from the left are Darbyshire, Bob Whitely, Murray Hope and Larry Blaylok. The presentations were made at the Portage Curling Club’s windup banquet Monday at the ANAF hall.
