High Schoolers Sworn Into Regular Militia

Takes oath - Gary Post, one of 17 high school students to enlist in the militia here Saturday morning, takes the oath of allegiance from Captain O. D. Hancock, adjutant of the 26th Field Regiment (SP) RCA, which will eventually have a class of 35 student militiamen.

The first test - Captain W. Hasselfield and Sgt. J. McCulloch, both standing at read, look on after 17 new militia men, students of the high school, have completed their "M" test at the Armouries here Saturday. The 17 enrolled in the militia, part of a 35-man class, under a new policy now in effect by the military. The class will take regular Saturday training until the end of May and will be eligible for two weeks at summer camp.
