Winners of the recorder festival at La Verendrye School were front (l-r) Kelly MacAuley, third place in grade two, Josephine Julie, third in grade three; and Glen Cymbalist third place in grade four. Second row (l-r) George St. Louis, Darryl Harrison and Bruce Neufeld, second place winners in grades three, two and four respectively. Third row (l-r) are first place winners, Michelle Beaulieu in grade four, Jo-Ann Devrieze, grade three and Bradley Ward, grade two. Back row (l-r) are principal of the school Morris Boychuk, Mrs. Florence Roberts, an adjudicator at the festival, Mayor H. L. Henderson, who made the presentation of trophies, adjudicator Mrs. Rita Johnson and Band Master Wesley Chen.
