Students in the upgrading class conducted in Portage took part this morning in the presentation of certificates. In the group above are, left to right, back row, W. B. Deedo, NES office manager; Mrs. V. Bird, class instructor; Bryan Fox, Steve Piontkowski, John Mellen, Harvey Oakley, Mervin Saranchuk and Bill Cady; centre, Eugene Fortin and Wayne Henry; front, Edwin Beardy, Donald Zalusky, Joyce Rossnagel, Shirley Shield, Jack Ferguson, supervisor of special programs, Manitoba department of education, and Larry Guy. Missing are George Bushby, Warren McIntosh and Trevor Albinet.
