Winter Employment Campaign - Essay contest won by Phyllis Shewchuk (Arthur Meighen G12)

Essay contest winner in a competition sponsored by the Winter Employment Campaign Committee in Portage received her award Monday night. In the group above are, left to right, Arthur Meighen high school principal V. C. Holmes; Miss Vi Graham, chairman of the committee's education committee; Phyllis Shewchuk, of Arthur Meighen high receiving the award from Bruce Fraser, chairman of the vocational service committee of Portage Rotary Club; Neil Jorgenson, chairman of the campaign committee; and Britt Deedo, manager of the NES office in Portage.
