Southport group makes contribution to March of Dimes

A helping hand — SL Blake Clark, manager of the Southport Inter-Section All-Star hockey team, presents a total of $30 to the Portage la Prairie March of Dimes campaign. The money was won by the team when they defeated Laurier 5-0, Alonsa 4-3 and Gladstone 6-4 at an intermediate hockey competition at Gladstone last Saturday. Top scorer of the Portage team was Ned Henderson with five goals, one against Laurier, one against Gladstone and three against Alonsa. Rae Smith, at left, chairman of the March of Dimes campaign, accepts the contribution. Legion president Ken Holland is at right.
