Canadian Legion Major Fawcett Taylor unit gives cash donations to community clubs
Community clubs in Portage la Prairie this week received cash grants from the Major Fawcett Taylor branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, to help with their work among young people. In the group above are, left to right, Gerry Murray of West End Community Club; Don Morrish of Koko Platz Community Club; Chuck Hempstock, chairman of the Legion sports committee which made the donations; Bud Spratt of South Side Athletic Club; and Orval Edgeworth of the North Side Athletic Club.
