Can. Legion makes presentation
A special award by the Royal Canadian Legion branch in Portage has been made to Melanie Stangl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stangl of rural Portage. Here Hugh Rea represents the Legion branch in presenting the cash award won by Melanie for an essay on "Armistice and Its Meaning To Me." Currently in grade 9 at PCI, Miss Stangl attended at Macdonald school last term.
