Canadian Legion committee of “March of Dimes”
March of Dimes campaign in Portage is underway under sponsorship of the Royal Canadian Legion branch. Here chairman Rae Smith, left, Laurie Skinner and branch vice-president Percy Boughton display one of the banners and money trees being sent to each householder. The annual 'Mothers March' in Portage is scheduled for February and the city is being zoned into areas for a fast one-hour blitz campaign.
