A Victoria Cross, earned by his uncle in World War One is presented here by Dr. W. O. Chubb, left, to the Portage branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. Accepting on behalf of the branch is secretary Hugh Rea. At right is branch president Ken Holland, holding a Military Cross presented at the same time.
