Hargreave’s Drug

Hargreave’s Drug marks 101st anniversary

Lots of bottles

The strange things that you find in a drug store. Don Pelechaty of Hargreave's Drug Store proudly displays his collection of antique bottles culled from the area. Included in the front window lot is a bottle from the original Portage Soda Waterworks, circa 1883. There is also a Cowan's Drug Store bottle from the year 1875. Cowan's was the original Hargreave's which is celebrating its 101st year in business. The two ladies admiring Don's display are Florence Bodie of Portage and daughter Gail Bodie of Keiowna, B.C.
