Upper left is the West End Co-Op operated by Portage Consumers Co-Op of Portage la Prairie. This station, located on No. Highway west of the city, was erected in 1949 by Anglo Canadian Oil Company. In the east end of the building is the Anglo Coffee Bar which is becoming more popular every day with the travellers and people of Portage District.

In the lower picture is the East End Station where the Portage Consumers Co-Op originally started. Pictured is the service station portion that dispenses Anglo Oil products. This is also a Goodyear tire centre where a considerable amount of tire servicing and selling is done.

The next photo shows a small portion of the large store where hardware, and allied Co-Op products are sold. Parts for Co-Op farm equipment is also carried in stock here.

Inset at right is the new Co-Op Lumber Yard recently opened to serve the public with quality building products. The Lumber Yard is located at the East End site. The distribution of fuel oil throughout Portage and District is also carried out from this location.
