Grain harvesting around Portage
Brimful of precious oats this sheaf on the farm of Harry Caldwell, Crescent Road, is one of hundreds of his 18 acre field. It promises to give him one of the largest crops' of oats he has ever harvested. Mr. Caldwell farms 60 acres, including one of the highest stands of corn ever grown in this area. He believes in planting according to the phases of the moon, which could be an excellent plan, if it produces results such as this.
