WITH TWO FEET IN THE HACK, Lois Eyvindsen's curling system would probably fail to gain the wholehearted approval from students of curling style. But experts probably wouldn't have as much fun as Lois, who's playing lead on the rink in the Portage high school bonspiel which opened this morning.

ANNUAL PCI BONSPIEL

DAVE BYAS, DRAWMASTER in the high school bonspiel, had to be called in to render a decision on a questionable rock during play in the opening day of the two-day event.

GLESBY AND DOUG DAHL carefully watch an important rock coming into the house during opening-day clash in the Portage Collegiate high school bonspiel. The action started Friday morning and will reach climax early this evening with the finals in four events.
