Purebred Collie Gives Birth in Transit

The Canadian Pacific Express Office in Portage la Prairie had two unexpected customers Thursday night. The registered Scottish collie female shown above gave birth to two pups while waiting between trains. The collie was sent here by CN Express from Mrs. John Floyd in McCreary, Man, and transferred to the CP Express for shipment to Mrs. N. Glover in Lethbridge, Alta. The proud mother and her two pups left for Alberta at 9:45 p.m.
