Children's Aid Society 21st Birthday

"The Church and social workers have a common bond of action," said Rev. Fred J. Douglas of Winnipeg, Thursday night. He was guest speaker at the annual meeting of the Central Manitoba Children's Aid Society.

Partnership between government and agency affirmed. Hon. R. W. Bend, minister of health and public welfare, shakes hands with C. B. McNulty of Sperling, honorary president of the Children's Aid Society of Central Manitoba. Others are from left to right: K. O. Twenty-one candles to extinguish. Mrs. Geo. Hay blows out 21 candles, each candle marking a year in the life of the Central Manitoba Children's Aid Society. Mrs. Hay is one of the original charter members of the Society. Looking on from the left to right are: W. R. M. Inglis, past president; C. B. McNulty, honorary president, and R. H. Stevens, director. This took place at an anniversary party held after the annual general meeting.
