Crescentview 7C class tour Riverdale farm
Students tour farm
More than 30 students from Crescentview grade 7-C under home class teacher Ernie Shwaluk toured Ed Connery’s Riverdale Farms Tuesday afternoon. With Mr. and Mrs. Connery as tour guides, students were given a first-hand view of asparagus harvesting in progress. They saw how the shoots are cut in the field as well as the grading and trimming process in the warehouse area. Students also had a quick look-in the refrigerated area where carrots and rutabaga are stored.
