Earl Bowes - 80th birthday celebration at Co-op cafeteria courtesy of Empey

Quite a birthday

When old friends get together it’s “an occasion,” especially when one of them is having an 80th birthday. Last Saturday was such an occasion for Earl Bowes, front and centre, and he treated everyone in sight at a party staged in the Co-op cafeteria. Among the many friends who showed up were the group here: left to right, front, Witt Billingham, Earl Bowes, brother Les Bowes; back row, Buck Irwin, Orville Wyatt and Russ Metcalf.
