Fun Festival jam-pail curling facilities readied by city firemen
Just scraping by — More correctly, “just scraping ice.” These are Portage firemen pitching in to do what they can for the upcoming Winter Fun Festival. They’ve been flooding skating and curling rinks on Crescent Lake and here they take a turn with hand scrapers to level off the humps, getting the surfaces ready for carnival opening one week away.
