Robbie Burns banquet & concert - Ladies evening guild
Portage la Prairie Scotsmen honored their immortal bard, Robbie Burns, Friday night. The occasion was marked with the traditional piping in of the Haggis by Piper Wililam [sic] Sutherland of Winnipeg. The program of Scottish songs and music was directed by William Murray (inset). Mr. Murray now resident of Portage la Prairie, lived within six miles of the birthplace of Robbie Burns.
