17th Regiment reunion parade & cenotaph service
The 17th Field Regiment went back "on parade" Saturday for the first time in three years during a three-day reunion held in Portage la Prairie. The unit paraded to the Cenotaph for a short memorial service prior to a regimental dinner and dance and social time. Members have voted to return to Portage in 1970 for the 30th anniversary of mobilization.
