Portage Collegiate Institute literary society presidential election and parade
They're mechanized now: Students of the Portage Collegiate Institute with gay school yells take part in their annual election day parade. The procession made up completely of cars and trucks, paraded down Saskatchewan Avenue this afternoon at 1.30. The parade preceded the election of officers for the Literary Society; The cars were decorated with blue and gold school colors, and posters drawn and painted by the students. The students seem to enjoy their parts in the campaign.
