Portage Collegiate Institute literary society presidential election and parade

The Portage Collegiate election in pictures, scenes from yesterday's election of executive members for the Portage Collegiate Literary Society. In photo No. 1, two PCI beauties perch on the fender of one of the parade cars, on either side of a "Vote Jean Coltart" sign. In photo 2, Ferris Metcalfe announces the winners over the school public address system. In the third view one of the parade cars loaded down with cheering students proceeds along in the parade on Saskatchewan avenue. Vice-president Gwenyth Muir congratulates President elect Jack Thomas, following the announcement of the vote, in photo No. 4. The lower picture shows a part of the large group of students as they cheered and applauded for the winning candidates. The president elect will head the society for the 1952-53 term.
