Portage’s new Fort la Reine School officially opened

Shown here is part of the large crowd that gathered in the new Fort La Reine school Thursday to witness the school's official opening. The event was held in the conversion auditorium because of the coldness of the weather outside. The school contains six rooms, plus the auditorium which can be converted into two class-rooms, and was built at a cost of $106,000.
